Jaye Bailey brings more than 30 years of experience in labor relations, employment disputes, workplace investigations and hearing management to her work as an arbitrator and mediator.

Based in San Jose, CA and Brunswick, ME, Ms. Bailey works throughout the U.S. Ms. Bailey is listed on multiple labor arbitration rosters and panels, including the American Arbitration Association, The Labor Relations Connection, the American Dispute Resolution Center, the Massachusetts Department of Labor Relations (formerly MA PERB), and the California Public Employment Relations Board (CA PERB), among others. She is trained in arbitration through the National Academy of Arbitrators BALA program and holds a certificate in workplace investigations from the Association of Workplace Investigators. Ms. Bailey is a graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Law and is admitted to practice law in Connecticut.

Experience

Jaye Bailey has more than 30 years of experience in labor relations and workplace disputes. Ms. Bailey has analyzed hundreds of issues as both a neutral and an advocate for management and labor. With offices in California and Maine, Ms. Bailey works throughout the United States.

Ms. Bailey began her career with the National Labor Relations Board and served as General Counsel to the Connecticut State Board of Labor Relations for many years. Prior to returning to full time arbitration and mediation, Ms. Bailey served in executive management positions in higher education and public transportation overseeing labor relations, human resources, and civil rights.

Ms. Bailey has participated in hundreds of arbitrations, administrative hearings, mediations and state and federal lawsuits as a neutral and an advocate. Her experience includes contract interpretation, discipline, overtime, workplace rules and many other issues in higher education, public transportation, health care, public sector, manufacturing, trucking, and building trades.

Ms. Bailey holds a J.D. and is admitted to practice law in Connecticut.

Rates and Fees

  • Arbitration: $2,000/day, including hearing, study, and writing
  • Mediation: $2500/day
  • Cancellation Period: 10 days

Pre-hearing conferences will be charged at $250/hour after the first hour. Travel is charged at a reasonable rate including airfare, hotel, etc. EXCEPT airfare is not charged for travel between California and New England or travel to Colorado. Auto travel is charged at the normal IRS rate. Cancellation is charged for any scheduled day(s) of hearing cancelled within 10 days of hearing.
